Abusiveness is defined as any action that intentionally harms or injures another person. Abuse also encompasses inappropriate use of any substance, especially those that alter consciousness (e.g., alcohol, cocaine, methamphetamines).
There are several major types of Abusiveness: physical abusiveness, sexual abusiveness, substance abusiveness, elder abusiveness, and psychological abusiveness.
Often indicated for people who are irritable, quick-tempered, and easily angered, especially when their emotions are driven by stress, frustration, or overwork. They may become verbally abusive under pressure.
Symptoms: Irritability, anger, intolerance, and short temper.
Staphysagria is useful for individuals who tend to bottle up anger and may become verbally abusive or aggressive when their pent-up emotions finally surface. Often, this occurs after being mistreated or humiliated.
Symptoms: Suppressed anger, resentment, feeling powerless, or emotional outbursts after stress.
Sulphur is useful for people who are self-centered, critical, and may be verbally abusive. It is often indicated for those who feel righteous in their anger or judgment.
