Overview – Angina / Angina Pectoris
Angina is chest pain or discomfort caused when your heart muscle doesn’t get enough oxygen-rich blood. It may feel like pressure or squeezing in your chest. The discomfort also can occur in your shoulders, arms, neck, jaw, abdomen, or back. Angina pain may even feel like indigestion. In addition, some people don’t feel any pain but have other symptoms like shortness of breath or fatigue. If these symptoms are due to a lack of oxygen to the heart muscle, it’s called an “anginal equivalent.” But angina is not a disease. It’s a symptom of an underlying heart problem, usually coronary heart disease (CHD), also known as coronary artery disease (CAD). There are many types of angina, including stable, unstable, microvascular, and angina caused by a spasm in the coronary arteries (vasospastic or variant). Angina usually happens because one or more of the coronary arteries are narrowed or blocked, also called ischemia. Angina can also be a symptom of coronary microvascular disease (MVD). This is a heart disease that affects the heart’s smallest coronary arteries and is more likely to affect women than men.
Amyl Nitrate – Natural homoeopathic remedy for angina with acute / rapid pain
Amyl nitrate is useful when patients have difficulty breathing with shortness of breath and spasmodic breathing. Chest feels full and oppressed. Cough in spasms. Anxiety felt around the heart. Palpitations at least excitement. Another major symptom is the violent beating of the heart and carotids. There is aching pain and constriction around the heart.

Gloninum helps when a patient has symptoms like laborious action, fluttering, palpitation with dyspnea, and cannot go uphill. Another symptom is exertion brings a rush of blood to the heart fainting spells and throbbing in the whole body to the fingertips. This remedy is prescribed when the violent beating of the heart occurs as if it will burst open. There is strenuous breathing. Pain radiates in all directions, down the left arm with weakness.

Crategus is useful in the case of cardiac dropsy, fatty degeneration, and aortic disease. It indicated extreme dyspnea on least exertion, without much increase of pulse. Naja is prescribed in the case of pain and heaviness in the heart region along with a sensation of weight in the chest near the heart region. Pain radiates to the nape of the neck and left shoulder. Other symptoms are rapid heartbeats, difficulty in breathing, and chest pain on the left side.
Aconitum Napellus – Natural homoeopathic remedy for angina with fear of death
Aconite useful in the case of Tachycardia (an increased heart rate for any reason). There would be affections of the heart with pain in the left shoulder along with stitching pain in the chest. There is a great fear, anxiety, and restlessness. Other symptoms are palpitation, with anxiety, fainting, and tingling in fingers, pulse full, hard; tense and bounding; and sometimes intermits. Spigelia is useful in the case of managing complaints including palpitations, stitching pain in the heart, and pericarditis in the heart. For palpitations, it is used when it occurs from bending forward, from the least movement, and deep inhalation. There is stitching pain in the heart attended by anxiety which gets worse from the least motion. It is also indicated for pericarditis which is the inflammation of the lining that surrounds the heart. There are mixed symptoms of palpitation, difficulty breathing, and sticking pain together.
Cimicifuga Racemosa – Natural homoeopathic remedy for angina in case of weak pulse
Cimicifuga is for pricking by needles like pain and also for weak pulse & angina pectoris (heart pain occurring from reduced blood supply to the heart). It can be used when pain spreads over the chest and back extending down the left arm. It is also helpful for managing palpitations that occur from the least motion.
