Bell’s Palsy is a temporary paralysis or weakness of the facial muscles on one side of the face due to inflammation or compression of the facial nerve (7th cranial nerve). This condition leads to drooping of one side of the face, inability to close the eye, and distortion of facial expressions. The exact cause is often idiopathic, but it may be triggered by viral infections (such as Herpes simplex), exposure to cold wind, stress, ear infections, or trauma. Most cases recover within weeks to months, though some may have residual weakness.
Homeopathy treats Bell’s Palsy by stimulating the body’s natural healing process and reducing nerve inflammation. Remedies are prescribed based on the cause, onset, and individual symptoms, such as exposure to cold, emotional stress, or weakness after infection. Homeopathic medicines help restore nerve function, improve facial muscle tone, and promote complete recovery without side effects. Early treatment gives the best results.
A leading remedy for cases that begin suddenly after exposure to cold, dry wind or emotional shock. The face feels numb, stiff, and cold. The patient may feel anxious, fearful, or restless. Early use helps prevent full paralysis.
Indicated when there is sudden facial weakness with redness, heat, and throbbing pain on one side. The face may feel hot and swollen, and symptoms worsen from touch or motion. The paralysis may alternate with facial spasms.
Excellent for chronic or residual paralysis where recovery is slow. The face appears drooping, with weakness in closing the eye or mouth. There may be a burning sensation or stiffness, and the condition worsens in cold, dry air.
Useful when paralysis develops gradually, with a feeling of heaviness, trembling, and dullness. The patient feels weak, drowsy, and indifferent. Suitable for Bell’s Palsy following viral infections or emotional strain.
Indicated in cases following emotional shock, grief, or suppressed emotions. The facial muscles twitch or spasm, and there may be a sensation of a lump in the throat or sighing. The paralysis may fluctuate with mood changes.
A key remedy when paralysis follows exposure to cold, damp weather or sleeping in a draft. The face feels stiff, heavy, and painful, especially on starting to move. Warm applications and movement bring relief.
Indicated when paralysis develops in highly strung, irritable, or overworked individuals. There may be tightness or spasmodic twitching on the affected side, aggravated by cold and emotional tension.
Best suited for left-sided Bell’s Palsy with burning, tingling, or hot sensations on the face. Symptoms are worse after sleep or upon waking. Often used in post-infectious or hormonal cases.
Indicated in long-standing cases where the muscles become shrunken or wasted. The face appears sunken, pale, and expressionless. It helps restore nerve tone and muscle activity gradually.
Useful in facial paralysis caused by nerve pressure, tumors, or trauma. The paralysis is slow to develop, with progressive stiffness and trembling of the lips during speaking or eating.
