Meningioma is a typically slow-growing, usually benign tumor arising from the meninges—the protective membranes covering the brain and spinal cord. Although many remain asymptomatic, growing tumors may cause neurological deficits depending on location, including headaches, seizures, visual disturbances, motor weakness, personality changes, raised intracranial pressure, and cranial nerve compression. Causes are multifactorial and include genetic predisposition (NF2 mutations), prior radiation exposure, hormonal influences, and age-related cellular changes. Large or aggressive tumors may cause edema, cortical irritation, or obstructive hydrocephalus.
Homoeopathy aims to improve neurological stability, reduce symptom intensity, support cerebral circulation, lessen intracranial pressure–related discomfort, and improve overall functional health. Remedies are selected based on presenting symptoms—headache type, location-related deficits, mental changes, seizures, vertigo, and behavioral changes. While homoeopathy cannot shrink a large mass, it offers supportive care, slows deterioration, reduces recurrence of symptoms, and strengthens the body’s ability to cope when used complementary to neurosurgical and oncological monitoring.
Forehead pain, worse from slightest motion, better lying still, dryness and irritability.
Throbbing, congestive headaches with dilated pupils, heat, sensitivity to light and noise.
Periodic headaches with visual blurring, sour vomiting, gastric disturbance.
Congestive, throbbing headaches, heat in head, sensation of blood rushing upward.
Heaviness of head, dizziness, dullness, tremulous weakness.
Convulsions, spasms, rigidity, aura preceding attacks.
Epileptiform seizures, stupor, memory impairment.
Localized, sticking pains, sinus involvement adding pressure.
Slow mental processes, vacant expression, confusion, dull headaches.
Stitching occipital pains, weakness, early-morning aggravation.
Sharp, stabbing pains, worse left side, sensitive to touch and movement.
Post-illness or blood-loss weakness aggravating head pressure sensations.
Drooping eyelids, blurred sight, heaviness due to nerve compression.
Forgetfulness, indecisiveness, duality of mind, performance anxiety.
Oversensitive, irritable, headaches from mental strain, digestive tension.
Slow comprehension, emotional withdrawal, exhaustion after prolonged illness.
Nerve pain, lancinating sensations along cranial nerves.
Sun headaches, visual disturbances, silent grief, periodicity.
Vertigo, nausea, brain-fog, motion sensitivity.
Vertigo on turning head, unsteadiness, heaviness in brain.
Burning sensations on scalp, heat, periodic headaches, cerebral congestion.
Low vitality, slow healing, irritability, cognitive fatigue.
Poor circulation, faintness, low oxygenation, heaviness in head.
Meningioma is a slow-growing intracranial tumor that may cause significant neurological symptoms depending on its location and size. Homoeopathy provides supportive management by reducing headache intensity, improving neurological resilience, lowering stress, and enhancing cognitive strength. Although it cannot replace neurosurgical intervention when required, it is a valuable complementary therapy for long-term symptom stability, improved comfort, and better post-treatment recovery.
